For my birthday weekend I went to Elgin's FoxFire Fest. On the 2nd I saw Thomas Ian Nicholas, Starship, and Blues Traveler. On the 3rd I saw Sister Hazel. The music on both days was really good. I was right up at the baracade for everything. A good time was had by all.

For the 150th anniversary of the Mormon Pioneer's Trek into the Salt Lake Valley our church youth group planned a handcart trek. We started from Nauvoo and crossed the Mississippi River and spent about a week trekking in Iowa.
